Official Update about COVID-19 from the Conference Organisers about the Postponement of the Conference from 2020 to 2021:
Updated May 14, 2020
The ESCV 2020 conference is now postponed to September 15-18, 2021
Dear Colleagues and Friends,
As the situation with the COVID-19 pandemic around the world evolves, we appreciate that maximum focus must be on clinical duties, support and care for patients and preparation for a possible 2nd wave of infection.
In these difficult times, there is a need to remove any additional pressure to submit your work and think about planning your ESCV conference participation. Therefore, the European Society for Clinical Virology and the Local Organising Committee of ESCV 2020 have taken the difficult decision to postpone the 23rd Annual Conference of ESCV.
The new dates for the 23rd Annual Conference of ESCV are September 15-18, 2021.
Further notifications for registered participants, submitted abstracts and confirmed sponsors & exhibitors will be shared in the coming days. We appreciate your patience in the meantime.
The ESCV and the Local Organising Committee would like to thank all our members, participants, partners and the entire community of virologists for their invaluable cooperation and understanding.
An even bigger and more successful conference will be planned for next year. The upcoming edition of the Annual Conference will be worth the wait, and we will all have much to share!
We are still very much looking forward to welcoming you in Manchester even though it will be one year later in September 2021. In the interim we wish you all continued good health.
We also know that many of you will have data and experiences that would have been timely to present in September 2020, and for this reason we are exploring the possibility to run a short virtual meeting in September 2020 to allow sharing of COVID-19 related information. We will update you about this, once we can confirm it will take place.
With warmest regards,
On behalf of the ESCV Board and the Local Organising Committee
